Darul Iftaa Mahmudiyyah was founded in 2016 under the guidance of Mufti Ebrahim Desai رحمه الله, founder of Askimam.org in Durban, South Africa.
The organisation initially operated through part-time scholars before officially launching a physical office in 2022 to expand services to the Muslim community.
Today the organisation continues to provide fatawa, mediation services, Islamic advisory support, and advanced Islamic education programs through Madrassah Mahmudiyyah.
